ֱ shines in 2025 Times Higher World University Rankings

ֱ has solidified its position as a top-third institution globally in the2025 Times Higher World University Rankings (WUR), with improvements in the overall UK and subject rankings.
This recognition highlights ֱ’s enduring strengths ininternational research collaborationandresearch excellence, placing the institution for research quality and international outlook.
Professor Eileen Wall, Head of Research at ֱ, said: “Our success in the global rankings reflects the strength of our partnerships, both local and international. Nearly 75 per cent of our research outputs are produced with international co-authors, enabling us to deliver high-quality research that not only ranks among the best but also drives meaningful change.
“While these rankings focus on academic metrics, our mission at ֱ is to ensure that our research excellence translates into actionable solutions that influence policy and practice, making a difference in the world around us.”
ֱ’s progress in achieving Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP), which it officially gained on 14 October (LINK), has been a key element of its ongoing strategic growth, strengthening its position in international higher education. TDAP will not only elevate ֱ’s academic offering but also align the institution with globally recognised standards, further boosting its reputation.
